[4/7/99] Two Issues with the game...
Problems:
Two problems; not sure the first is a bug. Set-up a random draft season (dumped all of the 99 roster into the pool and did a manual draft). Played five or six games as the White Sox (now there's a bug, but it's all mine). Saved season under the same file name each time I got done playing. Worked fine. Yesterday I tried to continue my season and found myself at the beginning of the season with none of my previously saved games available. Only thing I'm not sure about is this - after playing the last season game (before the problem) and saving the season, I went into my lineup, looked at the stats and changed the batting order. Wanting that as my new default line-up, I clicked save season again. HH2K told me I had saved it. The other times I saved the season, I made no line-up changes. Second problem: Audio at the beginning of a game. Robinson repeats himself, some words garble. HD is running while this is going on - loading the scheduled game. By the first pitch, Robinson is lucid, sober and I have no further problems for that game. But this happens with every new pairing I play. System: AMD K6-2 350Mhz; 64megsRAM with 16megs video RAM; Graphics Blaster Riva TNT; Sound Blaster Live Value; Windows98; Sidewinder; Creative 36xCDROM; Full Install.

[4/7/99] 1 Bug, 1 Fix(?)
Here ya go: First of all, I play my games controlling the batting and the pitching while letting the computer field, throw, and baserun for me. The problem I have is the computer won't steal for me and I can't tell my baserunners to steal, so stolen bases are not a part of my offensive game plan. I feel like Earl Weaver waiting for a three run homerun. I've played about 20 games without one single steal attempt and the two different teams i've used are not slow. Please Team 366 fix this problem. I have a complicated fix for the player editor I thought I would share. I noticed the problem when I started a season. I drafted a league from MLB players planning to change one of my minor league players into myself (It's the only way I'll get to the big leagues). I wanted to make myself a shortstop about as good as Alex Rodriquez (I sound narcicistic). So I viewed his batting screen in the player editor. I'm sure most of you have noticed that the vs. right avr is always too high. Well, in fact it is the same as the vs left slugging pct. There is some kind of variable error. This does have an effect too. In my season I played a few games and decided to sim the whole season to see if the stats would turn out realistic. They did except for two things. Alex Rodriquez hit about .550 and I hit about about .530. It happened when I simmed it again. I figured out the problem. If you view the batting screen in the player editor without changing the vs right avr before you leave, the player will perform as directed and bat as highvs rightys as he slugs vs leftys. Before you exit the screen manually change the avr vs rightys and the stats will be fine. If you leave it, you will have some incredible batting averages. I assume they will fix this in an update. It was annoying for a little bit, but it is easily fixable.

[4/7/99] I Lost my Right Fielder..
Bug: I bought the game on April 1st and have played 45 games from start tofinish using the "manage only" one pitch mode. In that time I have noticed many of the bugs/quirks listed on the page, but one other kind of strange one. I use the Seattle Mariners in their new outdoor stadium (I can't wait until after the all star break when it opens up for play in real life!) and have given up two in the park home runs so far. If the ball is hit down the right field line and bounces into the corner at about the same time the right fielder gets there, the right fielder disappears. He should run into the wall in fouled territory, but instead disappears and the centerfielder must come over and get the ball. This is really strange, and I didn't think to use the replay to see if I could see what happened to my rightfielder, but I think if they could isolate the problem and add a graphic so thatit looks like the RF falls into the crowd it would be very cool. :)

[4/7/99] A bug and a Suggestion
Here it is: I was playing in arcade mode with a friend. I had first and third and attempted a steal of home as my battter bunted (suicide squeeze) and he hit my batter. The game let the run score (should have been a dead ball) and then the game froze. No way to escape to menu. Needed to restart computer. In an unrelated instance my friend tried to steal third (no runner on first) while ball four was thrown to the batter. The game returned the runner to 2nd but I think it is still a live ball and the runner should be allowed to steal (or attempt to). One final thought, I have been thinking that it would be nice to include in the game (among many other things) the ability for the catcher to snap throw to a base after a pitch.

[4/7/99] Several Game Issues...
Problems:
1) Runners never slide into second base on a dp...go in standing up all the time 2) First baseman/pitcher never in position to cut off throw from OF to home...runner always advances to second and it is scored a double rather than a single as it should be. Need cutoff man on throws home!! 3) Infielders (especially 3B/SS) "jump" too much when throwing. Causes a slowdown in throwing and looks silly. 4) Too many pickoffs attempted...sometimes 4 or 5 in a row. Way too many attempted at 2B also. 5) Dp's not turned frequently enough...runner beats throw to first on routine dps.
