4/7/99 10:37am est: Update! |
I have put up a new message board (see link above) as a temporary fix for HH.com's little(and I
mean little) problem. This isn't a replacement for the site, just a temp board until someone
finds out little Snyper has been using Mommy and Daddy's computer. :) I'd like to say sorry on
behalf of Mike & Tony @ HighHeat.com, I'm sure their busy schedule isn't being aided any by the
flooding of The Dugout.

P.S.- I know I can't match colors......sue me. =)
4/7/99 11:26am est: Small Update |
No big news today, but I have totally caught up with bugs and fixes, my inbox is actually empty! ;)
Several bugs and fixes have been posted. Again, I will try to archive some of this stuff, but I
am going out very soon (hence a small news update) so I may not have time. Played my first
head-to-head game last night and had a blast! How about Mo Vaughn, DOH! I'm sure the Angels are
thrilled. :)

As you can, I am working to archive all the old bugs in their own sections.
Sometime tonight or tommorow I will archive news updates since they are clogging
up the page a bit. We broke *2000* hits today, and I'm very proud of that. AFAIK,
the 'new' tune file listed on HighHeatBaseball.com
from The Dugout (distributed by Chuck) is the one I received and posted yesterday,
so there isn't a need to re-download it. I have a few bugs sitting in my box
that I'll review and most likely post tonight. My beloved Phillies won their
opener @ the Braves yesterday! Hopefully they can do the same tonight as well.
:) 5 new bugs posted so far today, some that were mentioned in The Dugout discussion
page, some that weren't. Have a great day everyone!

4/5/99 1:41pm est: More Updates.... |
Chuck has sent me his most recent version of "The Dugout Tune File", this collective effort has
proved more accurate and realistic than any other in All-Star (Manage Only) play so far. Chuck
(The Dugout's represenitive that contacted me) said:
"It looks like we are reaching a point where we want go through some major testing with the tune
file. So unless something really strange creeps up in the near future with gameplay and simmed
results this is the one that we will use for a while."
Even though it is built around Manage Only gaming, arcade gamers are urged to try it out as
well. I'll be archiving the news and bugs soon. I'll keep the table below that lists the bugs
for easy access though. You may notice the bugs aren't streaming in as quickly.
1. There are not that many more 'bugs' being discovered.
2. I'm trying to analyze submissions more, to see if it is an isolated or easily explained
problem.
I do have some more bugs to post however, and I'll get around to it today (most likely). Have a
great Opening Day everyone!

4/5/99 1:06am est: Polo Grounds mystery solved! |
Thanks to Douglas who submitted a great explanation of the Polo Grounds mystery!
You can follow the link above or click here. Hope everyone
had a great Easter, I know I simply cannot wait until tommorow (today? hehe)
as it is the 'official' kickoff of the MLB season! My schedule is set, 4pm-ESPN,
7/7:30pm-Local Phillies vs. Braves game. Good to everyone's favorite team tommorow,
as long as you aren't a Braves fan. ;-) I should have some more bugs
posted later (afternoon time). I will also be making a seperate page for bugs
and archived news, so it doesn't take as long to load this page. G'night.

4/4/99 2:21pm est: Happy Easter! |
Happy Easter!
I'd like to wish everyone a Happy Easter today, and announce the webpage has broken 1000 hits! I
don't think there has been a frenzy like this since IE5 was released. ;) I have The Dugout's
v1.00 tune file posted in the vault. I would like to welcome anyone that feels their tune file
fixes some part of the gameplay or AI to submit it. I would like to thank everyone that has been
sending in bugs and well wishes. Have a great day everyone!

4/3/99 3:00pm est: Wonderful opening! |
I have received a great response on the site so far! I appreciate the comments and bugs I
have received. At the time of writing I have 23 bugs posted, along with 9 fixes, solutions,
andexplanations. I have also updated the Tune File Information page with pictures that explain
how to find the file itself. Keep all the bugs and fixes coming, this site is more of a success
than I planned it to be!

4/2/99 3:30pm est: Grand Opening!! |
Today marks the Grand Opening for the High Heat Bugout (HHBO)! I saw the need
for a central bug list for High Heat 2000 so I created this website. I hope
it can be a service to High Heat 2000 players, and also to Team .366, the creators
of this fine game. It may take a few days but hopefully I can put together a
solid list of bugs and fixes. Thanks to HighHeatBaseball.com
for their dedication to this game, without them I would have never discovered
the High Heat Series.
